Welcome to TechSoup New Zealand

TechSoup New Zealand provides donated software and hardware from companies such as Microsoft to eligible New Zealand Charities, Voluntary and Community Groups registered as a charitable organisation under the New Zealand Income Tax Act 2004.

This is an exciting program to assist New Zealand Charities, Voluntary and Community Groups build their ICT capacity.

The TechSoup New Zealand Programme is provided by Community Information Strategies in partnership with TechSoup. Both CISA and Compumentor/TechSoup are nonprofit organisations that are part of a global partnership for technology donations with companies such as Microsoft, with more companies to come.

New Donor Partner – Bytes of Learning Ultra Key v5 Typing Tutor

TechSoup New Zealand is proud to announce the addition of a new donor partner to its software donations programme. Bytes Of Learning have made available to the sector a innovative typing tutor called "UltraKey". For more information on UltraKey please visit www.bytesoflearning.com
Bytes of Learning assist disadvantaged people of any age and walk of life and offer offer their software donations to community organisations and other charitable groups that rely primarily on private donations. Eligible organisations may request a donation of up to five licenses within one fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).

Strategising for Digital Development

Communication is essential for all voluntary organisations, and computers are now an essential tool in all that we do. Recently the government released a new Digital strategy for New Zealand, which is available at www.digitalstrategy.govt.nz. It is a major revision of a previous strategy, and sets out a framework for all sectors to work together to get the most possible value out of the profound changes and opportunities offered by ICT technologies.

Meet TechSoup New Zealand representatives at the NZCOSS : Our Voices in Social Change conference 1 – 3 October at Waitakere

Representatives from TechSoup New Zealand will be in attendance at the conference including the CEO of New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations (NZFVWO) Tina Reid and the CEO of Community Information Strategies Australia (CISA) Doug Jacquier . Both NZFVWO and CISA have partnered to bring the TechSoup Donations Programme to New Zealand and will be more than willing to answer questions regarding the TechSoup programme.

Product Feature : Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007, TechSoup New Zealand’s most popular product so far

Since July 1 TechSoup New Zealand has already donated almost $100,000 worth of licences of Office Professional Plus 2007 to 37 organisations across New Zealand. This means that of the organisations that have placed orders via TechSoup approximately 7 in 10 organsiations have ordered Office Professional Plus 2007.
