Refund and returns policy

Software order return guidelines 

When your shipment arrives, before opening the manufacturer packaging, please examine the contents of the box to make sure your order has been fulfilled correctly. If you have any questions about the items in your shipment, or if there is a problem with your order, please contact us at support@techsoup.net.nz.

  • If you have received a product you did not order, we will gladly pay the return shipping cost and send the correct item(s), providing the product is still in its sealed manufacturer's packaging.
  • If an item is damaged, or you believe it to be defective, we will work with you to determine the nature of the problem.
  • If you wish to return one or more items for any other reason, you may do so, but items should be returned in their original condition with the manufacturer's packaging intact.

Downloaded Products

Some partners do not allow downloadable products to be returned. Please read the return guidelines on our individual partner pages to see if return is possible on a downloadable product. If you are able and wish to return a downloaded product, please contact support@techsoup.net.nz.

Refurbished PC's and laptops

Please contact support@techsoup.net.nz if there is a problem with any of the PC's or laptops ordered through TechSoup New Zealand.

Microsoft Software Donation Program Returns

If you wish to return one or more items received through the Microsoft Software Donation Program, the entire order will need to be returned to TechSoup New Zealand.

Your organisation may return products in the following situations:

* The product received is not the product intended by your organisation
* The product requested and received has more volume than required by your organisation
* One of the products received is not required or requested.
* The product is fully or partially damaged.
* Any other reason for which you feel the product is not required for by your organisation.

For TechSoup New Zealand to process a return of Microsoft products successfully you must follow certain terms and conditions:

* The whole consignment shall be returned to TechSoup New Zealand unpacked within 60 days of delivery.
* The Volume licensing keys referred to in Microsoft’s email shall not have been used.
* Every media installation disk is in its original unopened packaging and has not been installed.      

Please notify support@techsoup.net.nz of the impending return. When returning products, package items securely in a sturdy shipping box. Please be sure to enclose a note that references your order number and describes the reason for return, and mail to:

Refunds will be issued via Paypal or cheque. Refunds are processed within approximately 10-15 business days of approval of the returned item(s).Once all items in the original order have been received and your return approved, your refund will be processed. We will notify you when your account has been reset so you may place a revised order.

When returning products, package items securely in a sturdy shipping box. Please be sure to enclose a note that references your order number and describes the reason for return, and mail to:

IMPORTANT To receive a refund on products ordered through the TechSoup New Zealand items need to be returned within 60 days of delivery.
