Microsoft Exchange Server Device CAL Suite (Includes Software Assurance)

Microsoft Exchange Server Device Client Access License (CAL) Suite is a set of Microsoft Exchange Server Device CALs for Microsoft Exchange Server.

Microsoft Exchange Server Device CALs authorise one computer to access Microsoft Exchange Server, regardless of the number of users, for example on a shared workstation.

The Microsoft Exchange Server Device CAL Suite includes:

• One Microsoft Exchange Server Device CAL - Standard, which allows one computer to access Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Standard.
• One Microsoft Exchange Server Device CAL - Enterprise, which allows one computer to access the Enterprise functionality of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Enterprise Edition, including unified messaging, integrated archiving and multimailbox search and legal hold. It can only be used in conjunction with a Microsoft Exchange Server Standard Device CAL.

The CALs in the Microsoft Exchange Server Device CAL Suite work with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, as well as previous versions of Microsoft Exchange Server.

Microsoft Exchange Server User CAL Suites are also available. A Microsoft Exchange Server User CAL Suite authorises a user to access Microsoft Exchange Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).

Caution

These CALs do not provide access to Microsoft hosted services - Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange and Microsoft Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server.
