Microsoft Exchange Server User Client Access Licence (CAL) Suite is a set of Microsoft Exchange Server User CALs for Microsoft Exchange Server.

Microsoft Exchange Server User CALs authorise one user to access Microsoft Exchange Server on any number of devices.

The Microsoft Exchange Server User CAL Suite includes:

  • One Microsoft Exchange Server User CAL - Standard, which authorises a user to access Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Standard.
  • One Microsoft Exchange Server User CAL - Enterprise, which allows one user to access the Enterprise functionality of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Enterprise, including unified messaging, integrated archiving and multimailbox search and legal hold. It can only be used in conjunction with a Microsoft Exchange Server Standard User CAL.

Microsoft Exchange Server Device CALs are also available. A Microsoft Exchange Server Device CAL Suite authorises one computer to access Microsoft Exchange Server's features, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation).

Caution

These CALs do not provide access to Microsoft hosted services - Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange and Microsoft Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server.
