Microsoft Lync Server User CAL - Plus (Includes Software Assurance)

This plus user client access licence (CAL) can be used only in conjunction with a standard Lync Server user CAL. It supports the enterprise telephony capabilities of Lync Server on any number of computers or other devices (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).

Audio, video, and web conferencing and application-sharing capabilities for Lync Server require a separate licence, the enterprise CAL. To enable all features, all three CALs (standard, enterprise, and plus) are needed.

Device CALs are also available. A device CAL authorizes one computer to access Lync Server's enterprise telephony capabilities, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation).

Licence Only: This licence does not require media, licence keys, or setup codes.

Software Assurance: Under the Software Assurance program, you have the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of your coverage.
