Description:
A Microsoft TechNet Plus subscription provides periodic shipments of DVD-ROM copies of all Microsoft commercial software, including beta and RC releases. This includes Microsoft operating systems, applications, servers, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM software. The Microsoft software is intended for evaluation purposes, not for use in software development or in production environments. The shipments also include the latest edition of the Microsoft TechNet Technical Information Library. Updates can also be downloaded at any time.
Microsoft TechNet Plus Subscribers have access to various support services and to Microsoft e-learning courses. Microsoft TechNet Plus is targeted to IT support professionals, system integrators and administrators, and IT managers.
This product is the Volume Licensing version of the retail product Microsoft TechNet Subscription Professional with Media.
The subscription includes two complimentary Microsoft technical support calls and discounted service on additional live support calls. Microsoft TechNet Plus Subscribers have priority access to dozens of managed forums, in which Microsoft engineers provide answers within two business days if other users haven't already given them. Microsoft TechNet concierge chat is available 24/7 to help subscribers find the technical resources they need or to assist with nontechnical questions.
Access to Microsoft e-learning courses includes two sets of courses per calendar year, or about 40 hours of online coursework.
Acquiring TechNet
To activate your Microsoft TechNet Plus subscription, you must perform an additional step when retrieving your license keys from the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center website. Click Subscriptions in the VLSC menu bar and follow the TechNet link to enter information about the subscribing user. Within 10 days, you will receive a confirmation email with a subscriber ID and directions to the Microsoft TechNet website.
To activate your Microsoft TechNet subscription, contact the Microsoft TechNet Subscriptions Centre on 0800 800 004 and select option 3 or send an email to tnaus@microsoft.com.
