Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server Device CAL (Includes Software Assurance)

Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 is a project management, build management, and version control application for software development teams. This device CAL authorizes one computer to access Team Foundation Server, regardless of the number of users (for example, on a shared workstation).

User CALs are also available. A user CAL authorizes a user to access Team Foundation Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).

The Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) subscription that is bundled with some Visual Studio 2010 editions available through TechSoup provides a Team Foundation Server user CAL. Users of Visual Studio Team Explorer (available as a free download from Microsoft) or Visual Studio 2010 Team Explorer Everywhere need a Team Foundation Server user or device CAL to access Team Foundation Server.
