Description:
Windows Web Server 2008 is a server operating system designed to be used in Internet-facing web-serving environments. It integrates Internet Information Services 7.5, ASP.NET, and .NET Framework to enable organizations to deploy web pages, applications, and services. It is not designed to handle other roles, such as print server or domain controller.
The R2 version improves power management and adds administration and diagnostic tools.
Important: The R2 version requires a 64-bit system. Organizations that want to run Windows Server 2008 on a 32-bit system can receive a donation of this product and then obtain the older SP2 version from Microsoft, either by downloading or by purchasing the DVD-ROM.

Acquiring the License Key and Installation Media: Installing this product requires a license key and installation media. Instructions for obtaining the license key will be sent to your organisation email address after your eligibility has been verified and your administrative fee has been received.

- 1.4-GHz (or higher) x64 processor; four processors maximum
- 512 MB or more RAM; 32 GB maximum
- 32 GB available hard-disk space (computers with more than 16 GB RAM require more disk space for paging, hibernation, and dump files)
- DVD drive
