Get the right NFP pricing on your IT this financial year
If you haven't already started thinking about your not-for-profit's IT needs, make sure you take these three easy steps to make sure you're making the right decisions.
Welcome to the new financial year! Now is a great time to think about technology as many of you can now place orders again for partners with financial year restrictions and it's also a good time to catch up on any changes that may have affected what technology products your not-for-profit can order.
Here are 3 easy steps to get your not-for-profit off to the right start when it comes to choosing technology.
1) Check up on product and partner updates
Our partners are regularly updating their product lines and it's a good time now to have a look over what you may have missed or what you may want to use for your organisation.
With all the updates, it's important that you keep up-to-date with what your organisation is eligible for too.
2) Keep an eye on your eligibility
Did you know that you can quickly see what products your not-for-profit is eligible for from your account page? Once you're logged in using your organisation's account, you can click on: My account >
You will then be presented with a list of partners that your organisation can and can't order products from.
From time-to-time, a partner may alter the guidelines on who is eligible for their products and the guidelines around their programme. As you're getting into your IT planning, it's worth getting a refresher on what they are.
3) Understand partner guidelines and limitations
Remember, each partner has their own set of guidelines and limitations to their programmes. Some of the guidelines include:
- What organisations are eligible
- Howmuchyou can order within a given time frame (e.g. per financial year)
- Minimum and maximum quantities of orders (e.g. you can only place one order of Microsoft Get Genuine Software ever)
- How you use your products
- What else you may be entitled to (e.g. free upgrades with Microsoft's Get Genuine programme)
To see what find each partner's guidelines are, find their name under "Partner Info" from the "Donations" menu.
