NetSquared Auckland –A network to help build capacity

Lindsey Talerico-Hedren (pictured) convened the
first official NetSquared Auckland conversation late last week, at co-working
space The Kitchen. The intention of
the first meeting was to determine the needs of the local community, and help
structure the format for future events.
The initial group included people from a variety of backgrounds and technical ability; some who need a lot of support, and others who are interested in sharing their knowledge and networks to help grow capacity.
Over a shared ideation lunch, the group tabled their thoughts and interests and agreed to support individuals with their technical challenges through future NetSquared Auckland meet-ups.
Lindsey said that the group is excited about the potential to learn from one another. ‘It was great to get a group of people together who are interested in both social good and technology. I believe that over the coming months we'll be able to help each-other overcome challenges, and we'll be able to learn a lot from each-other too.'
Details for the next meet-up will be available soon, however if you'd like to find out more, contribute to the conversation or be part of future events simply sign up via Meetup or follow Lindsey on Twitter and look out for the hashtag #Net2Akl.
