The WS-X6408-GBIC eight-port Gigabit Ethernet module can be configured with any combination of short-wave (SX) and long wave/long haul (LX/LH) Gigabit Interface Converters (GBICs). Cisco Catalyst 6000 series mixed media/fiber-based gigabit Ethernet interface modules are used in distribution and core layers, and in data-center applications.
