The industry-standard Cisco Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) is a hot-swappable input/output device that plugs into a Gigabit Ethernet port or slot, linking the port with the network. This is router is the same as a normal cisco 827 router with the addition of four RJ11 FXS ports. In addition to the FXS ports it supports ADSL and has a single 10meg ethernet port for LAN use. One “feature” is that calls matching a dial plan of another local port will be directly to that port.
