Cisco Catalyst 2960-S Series Switches WS-C2960S-48TS-S is a model, designed for enterprise, midmarket, and branch office networks equally. It has 48 RJ-45 10/100/1000Base-T Network LAN ports and provides LAN Base feature set.

The 8/8 Base SAN Switch and 8/8 SAN Switch are targeted for small to medium sized enterprises and are ideal for entry-level SANs, and as an edge switch for core-to-edge SAN environments. The WS-X6408-GBIC eight-port Gigabit Ethernet module can be configured with any combination of short-wave (SX) and long wave/long haul (LX/LH) Gigabit Interface Converters (GBICs). Cisco Catalyst 6000 series mixed media/fiber-based gigabit Ethernet interface modules are used in distribution and core layers, and in data-center applications. These gigabit Ethernet interface modules deliver wire-speed switched connectivity and support several switch fabric connections and traffic forwarding options.

The 4-port (NM-4A/S) and 8-port (NM-8A/S) asynchronous/synchronous (async/sync) network modules provide async connectivity with speeds up to 115.2 kbps, and sync connectivity with speeds up to 128 kbps. These modules use the 60-pin "5-in-1" cables, similar to those used on the Cisco 2500 and Cisco 7000 series routers.

The Cisco RPS 675 Redundant Power System (RPS), model PWR675-AC-RPS-N1=, provides N+1 redundancy. The RPS 675 provides seamless failover to internal power supply failures for one of up to six switches. The RPS 675 automatically senses when a connected device has experienced an internal power supply failure. It then begins to supply power to the device. The RPS supplies power until the power supply of the failed device is replaced or the device is replaced. You can then return the RPS to active mode so that it is available to supply power to another device.
