While TechSoup New Zealand was not chosen for the award, we were really proud to be nominated along with Microsoft, our principal donor, in the line-up. Our hard work coupled with Microsoft's generosity, in getting 7.6 million dollars of donated software out to not-for-profit organisations in two years has indeed paid off and certainly not gone unnoticed.
The Prime Minister, John Key, announced the overall winner of the supreme Social Heroes' Award. This went to the Starship Mobile Phone Appeal partnered by Telecom, Vodafone, 2Degrees and TelstraClear.
