Microsoft has announced changes to the Microsoft not-for-profit program as of 4 April 2022. These changes will impact the current Microsoft Software Donation Program through TechSoup New Zealand and are worth your close review. What is changing? On-premises products will no longer be available as a donation beginning April 4, 2022. On-premises software are stand-alone, perpetual licences that users install on specific computers and can be used even without an internet connection (i.e. Office Standard). These products will still be available through TechSoup New Zealand, but only at charitable discount prices. These typically range from a 60-75% discount from commercial pricing. This results in a price increase of about 3-5 times more than current donation program pricing. Why are these changes occurring?Posted on 19/10/2021 by

This is a guest case study from our partner Bonjoro. It first appeared on the Bonjoro website. We live in a world of information overload, where our attention is constantly being seized by promotions, sales pitches, and newsletters. Inboxes have been embedded with smart technology, filtering mass emails into folders called "promotions", and telephone recognition software is making it harder for conventional fundraising phone banks to get through.Posted on 25/08/2021 by

This is a guest post from Reboot-IT. At Reboot IT, this is a common question we get asked a lot. Simply put, a used iPad is one which has nothing done to it aside from being turned on to make sure it works. A refurbished iPad costs the same as a used iPad but has been thoroughly checked with specialist software and had any issues that fall below the testing standard rectified. In addition, a refurbished iPad is thoroughly cleaned, had it IMEI checked and has been fully reset.Posted on 11/01/2021 by

Starting in November, you will notice that we have increased administrative (admin) fees for selected discount and donation programs at TechSoup New Zealand. We periodically review and adjust admin fees to reflect the fair market value of products and our own costs in managing these programs. As a not-for-profit ourselves, we include admin fees in our offers in order to support the value that we can continually bring to all not-for-profits. This helps us provide as many resources as possible to organisations like yours, everywhere. We will continually strive to make sure that these offers will still be made at the lowest cost available to you and will remain at a fraction of their retail value. In most cases, the increase in the admin fee will be no more than a few dollars per transaction. Certain products from the following programs will be affected by these changes:Posted on 05/11/2019 by

Transform Conference Silver Sponsors the I.T. Team have a clear vision for this year’s TechSoup Conference, and they’re ready to bring it to life in Auckland this August 15-16. Led by Sue Wilkinson, the I.T. Team were a significant presence at the 2018 TechSoup NZ Conference as delegates - and were so impressed by what they saw that they decided to sponsor Transform 2019. Based in Christchurch, but with a strong network and engagement across New Zealand, the I.T.
