The Core User CAL Suite is a set of four user client access licenses (CALs) and two user client management licenses (MLs). Together they provide user licensing for key Microsoft server technologies. A user CAL authorizes a user to access a server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home). A user client ML licenses the management of any number of OSEs, as long as only one user has access to them. The 220 V ac Power Supply module converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC) and distributes power to the backplane and to all the modules in the chassis. Each module includes status indicators and a power connector. When using the 220 V ac Power Supply module, circuit protection must be supplied by the customer. In a redundant configuration, two Power Supply modules operate in a load-sharing mode to increase system reliability. This configuration ensures that as long as one Power Supply module is active, all other modules are fully powered. When two Power Supply modules are installed, each normally runs at one-half of its capacity.
